Appointments Premarital Mentoring Contacts and Resources

People Help is not considered a crisis center, but rather, a short-term Christian lay counseling facility. If this is an emergency, please dial 911, MMIC Crisis Line at (800) 564-5465, or Empact at (480) 784-1500

To request an initial appointment, please contact our Counseling Office at (480) 829-0130 and leave a message indicating whether you can meet mornings, afternoons, evenings or Saturdays. Print and complete the forms below to bring with you for your first appointment. An intake counselor will assess how we can best help and support your care needs.

In some cases where Grace Counseling and it's Lay or Professional Volunteers may be unable to help (i.e., substance abuse, psychosis, conditions requiring medication, or issues requiring longer-term counseling), referrals are available for outside professional help (fee required).

Please download and complete the following forms:

Cancellation Policy -- Since intake appointments are in high demand, please help us serve our community better by keeping your scheduled intake appointment. If you are unable to do so, please call the counseling receptionist at 480-378-2582 as soon as possible to cancel. We also ask you to provide at least 24 hours notice. We will make every attempt to reschedule within 1 week after a missed appointment, providing 24 hours notice was given. The counseling receptionist will call you to set a new appointment.

Premarital Mentoring

Grace Premarital Mentoring is available for couples interested in preparing and equipping for marriage. Topics include spiritual and emotional intimacy, connection, communication and conflict resolution, finances, sexual intimacy, roles and expectations, and more. We believe premarital mentoring is important for a number of reasons:

  • Marriage is hard. More than 60% of marriages end in divorce.
  • The stakes are high. Bad marriages hurt families, children, and don’t reflect the love between Christ and His Church.
  • We are not called to “figure it out for ourselves”. Rather, to learn from wise men and women who have gone before us.

Mentorship Couples are committed to walking with couples through intentional and practical life on life discussions, learning opportunities, and assessments. Opportunities are available throughout the year.
